Yes, but you should give a notice two month before. It is important to sign a contract, but it is more important to finish it. Your visa can be transferred easily. However, it may take up to three months in order to find a substitute teacher.
If you want to terminate your contract and move to another school, you need a letter of release from your current employer. Getting a release paper is the quickest and cleanest way to get out of there. It just needs an effective date, the name of your school, the address of your school, and a simple statement saying " John smith is released from his contract effective today". Then try to just get you director to stamp or sign it. Usually your boss registers you with immigration and there is some sort of bond that is necessary for this stating that he is responsible for you.
Ideally you should be able to explain to them that your situation is not working out and want to leave. The director should agree with you. You should stay on as good terms with your boss and your boss should also try to stay on as good terms with you. When you apply for a new position, the new school usually ask for the recommendation letter or phone number of your current school.
